Do the holidays sometimes remind you of planning a wedding? You know, you spend months preparing for that BIG day - what will we have for the special meal? picking out that special gift, and within 15 minutes, it's all over with.
After
We've literally been living out of our suitcases for 2 weeks.
It was fun seeing everyone, and I have lots of pictures to post, but we were exhausted when we got back. You know, you try to do everything and see everyone while you are there. But you never get a chance to do everything you want, so maybe we will go back this summer.
We returned home with a new family member.
Zak is by far the most obedient one in our family!!! He's 8 months old, potty trained, crate trained, does lots of neat tricks, and he's a sweety! We adopted him while in AL. So we brought him home along with a million other gifts. We had to actually buy a hauler to go on top of the Van-Go. The Clampetts literally have nothing on us!
We also visited the Crescent City while on the coast. It's been many years since I've been there - pre-Katrina - actually. We went to see the New Orleans Hornets play the Boston Celtics. Exciting!! More pics to come ~
Laci and Caleb were able to see their cousins from Canada, and they were excited about that. And their MS. cousins as well. It was fun seeing everyone, but we're glad to be home. Christmas decorations are down, house is semi-clean (never stays that way), and our new family member is loving his new home (so far so good). He's actually been running through the creek with the kids and meeting the neighborhood doggies. Now time to get back to the grind.
Hope your holidays were a blast!

Cute doggie! The kids are at a great age for a dog. They can learn to be responsible for another living being :-) We, too, are enjoying our new dog.
