Me and My Family

  • Me and the hub, we have 2 crazy kids, 2 even crazier dogs, and an adopted cat we call boo! (Cats really don't answer to their names anyway, right?) We love traveling together, music of all genres, the theater, and hanging with friends. We're on this journey called "life" together, and all I can say is "You'd better put your seatbelt on!" We learn together, laugh together, cry together, and, yes, even eat sushi together. We live one wild ride, and albeit crazy, we're doing it together!

Soccer 2010

My little guy had his very first soccer game today. He was excited. Greg and I did not grow up knowing much about soccer, because in our day, football was king. As a matter of fact, I do not believe they even had soccer at our school back then. But it's everybody's game these days, even the girls.

They started the game off with prayer!



And then they were off and running!







Caleb made the first goal of the day. Actually, he scored 2 of their 3 points. Not bad for his very first time.

The Ref got in the way of the BIG score.



Speaking of scores, for these little 4 and 5 year olds no scores are officially kept. They are just trying to teach these little ones how to play the game, and to be good sports. But there was someone who was definitely keeping score ...



Caleb was also glad to see a few friends from his CC class there playing as well.

But it was a beautiful, crisp morning and we had a good time watching our little guy.

After the game he wanted to know where his trophy was! (Not so fast, hot shot)

Awww Caleb looks like he was having a blast. Julie's son Caleb also plays soccer. As you know- soccer is HUGE in Europe so I hear about it ALL the time haha.. a little too much :) I love going to the games and seeing it live.. seeing the kids playing and having fun is the best isn't it?
