Well, we made it through the weekend! The photoshoot at Hanging rock was fun. You can view a few of the photos by clicking on the "Light of Mine" button below, then click "blog." In the meantime, we should get to view all of the pictures in a few weeks.
We stopped by the birthday party for about an hour, which was so, so cute (1-year-old), and then we headed back home for our neighborhood gathering. But first we had to do our annual pumpkin carving, for next week we will be out of town all week at my sister's house in AL. This was always a must around our house when I was growing up. My dad loved carving pumpkins. Laci just had to have a princess crown on hers.
We had tons of kids for the hayride. About five tractors full, I think. It was so much fun watching the kids run from house to house. They were so excited.
Now, what to do with all that candy ... Thankfully, our pediatric dentist has offered to buy back all the candy after Halloween (for a cavity-free year), and send it to our troops overseas. We'll see if they are willing to part with all those goodies for a little $$$. After all, it's for a good cause, right?

Hello Beth,
The hayride was a wonderful way for children to enjoy the outdoors.
This is Renee from CBS. Hope you don't mind that I stopped by to say hello
