Day 2 of our vacation was to Dollywood, simply because the kiddos could wait no more. We had a wonderful time. If you've never been, it's great. A little pricey but what park isn't? We ordered our tickets ahead of time, therefore, received a free dinner in one of their three restaurants on site (for the whole family), saving us about $40, at least. I like this park because it's super clean, lots of bench seating (allowing us old folk brief rest), and lots of shade trees.
There was a trolley that picked us up from the RV park we were staying at. The kids were so excited to get on that thing. The first ride of the day. They even got to put their money in the box (whoo-whee) as you enter the trolley.
One of our favorite rides in the park
You're sure to get wet! Just a perfect summertime ride!
Best splash pad ever!
There's actually something there for every age ~
And the young at heart ~
My goodness, check out the expression on my sister's face. Is she having a good time OR WHAT? It's just ... PRICELESS! (Excuse me, Carol, but you have a hair out of place.)
We actually closed the park down that night. They were probably glad to get rid of us as my wonderful, darling son was picking every flower they had in the park. The park is beautifully decorated with probably hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of flowers and my son was picking them all, as he does for me at home. He brings me a bouquet of flowers from the yard every day (I'm blessed). But good grief, I was expecting any minute for someone to come and escort us outta there.
Everyone had a good time and we wore the kids out -- wait a minute, I mean they wore us out! That's more like it.
We only lost one camera, one kid (hey, one kid out of five isn't bad), and a few memorabilia cups. But we all ended up making it back to the campground intact.
Peace, Baby!
