We were double-booked for fall festivals Saturday afternoon - our annual fall festival at church and our annual neighborhood fall festivities ~ hot dogs on the grill, hayride trick-or-treat, and smores over the fire, as if we didn't already have enough sweets!

This was actually the first year in four years that we've missed our favorite festival of all - Brevard! I missed going! But I can imagine if it was really cold and windy here, it was twice as cold in the mountains. It was a last-minute decision to not go, but maybe next year. You can't do it all, right?
And then there are some things that truly never do change ~
