Me and My Family

  • Me and the hub, we have 2 crazy kids, 2 even crazier dogs, and an adopted cat we call boo! (Cats really don't answer to their names anyway, right?) We love traveling together, music of all genres, the theater, and hanging with friends. We're on this journey called "life" together, and all I can say is "You'd better put your seatbelt on!" We learn together, laugh together, cry together, and, yes, even eat sushi together. We live one wild ride, and albeit crazy, we're doing it together!

JUST AROUND THE CORNER

Well, the Thanksgiving holiday has passed, and all of our kin are now back in their homes with their usual routines. We've decided to take a little break this month, with only a minimal amount of school work each day. (We don't want to forget anything!)

Christmas is around the corner and the kids are already excited about what lies ahead! After everyone left on Monday we broke out the Christmas tree and ornaments, lights - and, oops, I was out of hot chocolate. That's our usual tradition, drink hot chocolate while decorating the tree. Mama forgot about it, with all the excitement going on around here. My kids were devastated! But I have it on the old grocery list as we speak.

Greg and his friend J.J. bagged themselves two 8-pointers over the holidays (on Thanksgiving day to be exact). And J.J. was generous enough to take the kids on a hunt one afternoon. After all, his condo-type boxstand is able to fit all inside!

We made our way to the Cook Shack for a little music. We haven't been very much lately with the hunting season in full swing. But hopefully after the new year we can go more often.

My computer guru nephew set up my new iPhone for me.

My sweet sis-in-law made all of our sweet treats!

And my children took all of the mini trees from the basement and decorated their rooms. It is so cute!

Christmas is always fun to share with children, and we always have an exciting time. But please do not forget to teach your children the real meaning of Christmas. It is the birth of our Saviour, Jesus Christ, and we give out of love for one another, because he gave it all for us!
