Me and My Family

  • Me and the hub, we have 2 crazy kids, 2 even crazier dogs, and an adopted cat we call boo! (Cats really don't answer to their names anyway, right?) We love traveling together, music of all genres, the theater, and hanging with friends. We're on this journey called "life" together, and all I can say is "You'd better put your seatbelt on!" We learn together, laugh together, cry together, and, yes, even eat sushi together. We live one wild ride, and albeit crazy, we're doing it together!

Summer's End ~

We've been on the go lately. It seems everything has come to an end all at once, which = running, running, running. Gearing up to meet teachers, start school, change our routine, and back to the ole grind. The start of summer has been a challenge, but our family seems to be getting back to normal. And what is "normal" again exactly?

In the past two weeks we've wound down our summer dance program with an end-of-the season recital ~

Made it to a few music festivals, enjoyed seeing old friends, and it seems Laci is ready to start fiddlin' again. She wanted to attend the prestigious Galax competition this year. So we did. And it was fun.

We even took along another little guitarist to one camp ~

It was his first experience! And I didn't know it about our little friend, but he loves to dance. Someone else loves his dancing as well as there was a lady in the crowd clearly cheering him on! So funny ~

And a lovely wedding ~

I've been to many weddings in my lifetime, but it has been many years since I've been to one.

A little sprinkler fun with friends in the heat of the day ~

And all things boys ~

Greg found Caleb a little dirt bike on Craig's List. Don't you just love Craig's List - sell what you don't want anymore and buy something you do want!!! It's fun. It's like a yard sale straight from your living room - without the hassle.

And don't worry grandparents, it only has three gears and goes just fast enough for fun!

And last but not least, cheerleading camp. Ending the week with a pool party.

Well, that's the wind-down of our summer festivities. Now, time for rest.
