Me and My Family

  • Me and the hub, we have 2 crazy kids, 2 even crazier dogs, and an adopted cat we call boo! (Cats really don't answer to their names anyway, right?) We love traveling together, music of all genres, the theater, and hanging with friends. We're on this journey called "life" together, and all I can say is "You'd better put your seatbelt on!" We learn together, laugh together, cry together, and, yes, even eat sushi together. We live one wild ride, and albeit crazy, we're doing it together!

European Road Warrior!

Twice a year Greg makes the great trek across the big pond. Usually in the fall and spring. He spends the week with his counterparts from across the globe. They usually do something fun and exciting on their week-long conference. This time they had the opportunity to do something rare. They test drove one of their trucks on their massive test track! Can you imagine a bunch of bean counters driving one of these massive babies? Of course Greg got the biggest one available. Here he is ...

Check out the load he's pulling!!! Good thing he has 700 horsepower. Caleb asked him why he looked so serious (not so easy to see here).

Greg replied, "I was concentrating."

I guess so. It sure is much larger than the rig sitting in our front yard.

This would be the European version of a Volvo truck, a little different looking than its American counterpart. In Europe, trucks are taxed by their length. That could get quite expensive, so they build up instead of out! Greg is actually sitting on the engine instead of the engine out in front of him. I wonder how fuel efficient that is! Anyway, I guess they're taxed that way so they won't take up much road space. Just a guess.

The kids now think their dad is the coolest on the planet.

Go, daddy, go!

By the way, this is the closest our family comes to Skyping (pics downloaded today from across the pond).
